Zurich Design Weeks – Partecipazione Italiana
- 17-27 settembre, Zurigo, Museum für Gestaltung: Isao Hosoe, il trickster del design. A journey into the mind of a visionary innovator. Esposizione delle idee e dell’opera del design giapponese, naturalizzato italiano.
- 20 settembre, Zurigo, Museum für Gestaltung, ore 15:00: Conferenza di presentazione della mostra su Isao Hosoe, con Werner Zemp, designer svizzero e Francesco Zurlo, Preside della Scuola di Design del Politecnico di Milano. In inglese. Seguirà aperitivo.
La mostra rende omaggio a Isao Hosoe (1942–2015), ingegnere aerospaziale e designer giapponese che fece dell’Italia la sua casa e il suo laboratorio creativo. Attraverso schizzi, prototipi, modelli, video e prodotti iconici, l’esposizione racconta il suo approccio al design, caratterizzato da sperimentazione, spirito ludico e dialogo tra scienza, tecnologia e arte. Il suo lavoro rappresenta una visione interdisciplinare che ha segnato il design contemporaneo.

Swiss Italian Startup Award
Ginevra, Campus Biotech
24 novembre 2026
Il 24 novembre al Campus Biotech di Ginevra si terrà la terza edizione dello Swiss Italian Start Up Award, iniziativa dedicata alle start-up italiane e svizzere fondate da imprenditori italiani. Tra aprile e giugno 2026 sono state raccolte oltre 200 candidature per selezionare dieci finaliste che presenteranno le proprie innovazioni davanti a investitori, aziende ed esperti internazionali. Il progetto, patrocinato dall’Ambasciata d’Italia a Berna, favorisce il dialogo tra ecosistema tech svizzero e Made in Italy, creando nuove opportunità di collaborazione, investimento e open innovation.

Premio della Società degli Accademici Italiani in Svizzera (SAIS) per tesi di Dottorato
Scadenza: 15 settembre 2026
La Società degli Accademici italiani in Svizzera (SAIS) offre quattro premi per tesi di dottorato svolte in Svizzera da studenti di madrelingua italiana, ciascuno in uno dei seguenti ambiti: 1.STEM, 2. scienze della vita, 3. scienze umane, sociali, politiche e giuridiche, e per la tesi giudicata più promettente in termini di trasferimento tecnologico, indipendentemente dal campo di applicazione.

Zurich Design Weeks – Italian Participation
- 17–27 September, Zurich, Museum für Gestaltung: Isao Hosoe, the trickster of design. A journey into the mind of a visionary innovator. Exhibition of the ideas and work of the Japanese designer, naturalized Italian.
- 20 September, Zurich, Museum für Gestaltung, 15:00: Presentation conference for the exhibition on Isao Hosoe, with Swiss designer Werner Zemp and Francesco Zurlo, Dean of the School of Design at Politecnico di Milano. In English. Aperitif to follow.
The exhibition pays tribute to Isao Hosoe (1942–2015), an aerospace engineer and Japanese designer who made Italy his home and creative laboratory. Through sketches, prototypes, models, videos and iconic products, the exhibition narrates his approach to design, characterized by experimentation, playfulness, and a dialogue between science, technology and art. His work represents an interdisciplinary vision that has shaped contemporary design.

Swiss Italian Startup Award
Geneva, Campus Biotech 24 November 2026
On 24 November, the third edition of the Swiss Italian Startup Award will take place at Campus Biotech in Geneva. The initiative is dedicated to Italian and Swiss start-ups founded by Italian entrepreneurs. Between April and June 2026, more than 200 applications were collected to select ten finalists who will present their innovations to investors, companies and international experts. The project, under the patronage of the Embassy of Italy in Bern, promotes dialogue between the Swiss tech ecosystem and Made in Italy, creating new opportunities for collaboration, investment and open innovation.

Prize of the Society of Italian Academics in Switzerland (SAIS) for PhD Theses
Deadline: 15 September 2026
The Society of Italian Academics in Switzerland (SAIS) offers four awards for doctoral theses carried out in Switzerland by students whose mother tongue is Italian, each in one of the following fields:
- STEM,
- Life Sciences,
- Humanities, Social, Political and Legal Sciences, and one award for the thesis considered most promising in terms of technology transfer, regardless of the field of application.
